This unique summer program is a live aboard sailing camp that focuses on sail training, marine science, & island exploration. It stimulates minds, encourages teamwork, develops self-esteem, and it’s fun! For the entire voyage, campers are immersed in sail training, marine science, and teamwork aboard TOLE MOUR, the largest sailing school vessel on the West Coast. Our instructors guide the campers through numerous activities other than sail training, including marine science, snorkeling & diving, boogie boarding, and kayaking.
Catalina Island Marine Institute’s Tall Ship Expeditions program, aboard SSV TOLE MOUR, is a unique and exciting school program that focuses on sail training and marine science. Tall Ship Expeditions brings science to life as students sail around the California Channel Islands on three to five day expeditions. The ship can accommodate groups up to thirty-six and serves grades four through twelve. This floating classroom brings science to life with unique opportunities for discovery and learning that are simply not possible in a traditional classroom. The Catalina Island Marine Institute’s Tall Ship Expeditions program aboard the SSV TOLE MOUR is a unique exciting program that focuses on sail training and team building. Serving up to 36 trainees on expeditions from 3 days to 3 weeks in length, the program helps foster communication, responsibility, and community in addition to teaching the group to work together to move the ship from one location to the next. The SSV TOLE MOUR is the largest sailing school vessel on the West Coast. This floating platform gives trainees of all ages unique opportunities for self-discovery, team work, and confidence building that is not possible in a typical corporate environment.
